Golf at the Melbourne Convention

Please be advised that the Golf Day event scheduled for Friday, 26th May has been cancelled due to insufficient numbers. Refunds will be processed shortly to those who have registered.

For any Rotarian still wishing to play golf on that day, Victoria Golf Club is holding a limited number of spots for 32 players teeing off from 12.15pm -12.42pm.

If you are interested in playing, please go to this link, and complete the Playing Enquiry form for the 26th May, 2023, including (Rotary) after your Home club.

Bookings will close Friday May 12, Green fee $350pp.

​​​​​​​The Rotary International convention is coming to Melbourne next May, and the citizens of this great city are really looking forward to welcoming you.

One of the things for which Melbourne is renowned is the Sand Belt of eight world-class golf courses, and one of them is Victoria Golf Club, site of the Australian Open in November 2022.  Because many Rotarians would enjoy the opportunity to play on such a course, we have arranged for a Rotary day at Victoria Golf Course on Friday 26th May 2023 (the convention starts on Sunday 28th May).

The net proceeds of this day will be contributed to the Polio Eradication campaign, which you know is Rotary’s highest humanitarian priority.  There will be no PHF credits or other TRF recognition attached to this event, but players will have the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped eradicate polio while having a fun day of golf.

There is a morning group and an afternoon group, and transportation will be arranged from and to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.   

Light Refreshments plus drinks will be provided for each group. 

Ride on carts are very limited in number and can only be made available to those with a genuine medical certificate.  Push/pull buggies are provided.  Clubs are available for hire if required.  If you require either a cart or clubs, please contact Victoria Golf Club directly at [email protected] before you register.

Note: Tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis. 

Terms & Conditions 

  • Cost of the event is AUD$550.00, which includes green fees, transport and light refreshments.  Equipment hire is at own cost.
  • Ticket prices are in Australian dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (10%) and TryBooking transaction fees.
  • Push carts are available at the Course, free of charge.
  • Ride on carts are very limited in number and can only be made available to those with a genuine medical certificate.  Clubs are available for hire if required.  If you require either a cart or clubs, please contact Victoria Golf Club directly at [email protected] before you register.
  • Transport will be provided from and to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.   Pick-up time will be advised by email closer to the date of the event.
