Highlights Tour: Australian Art
The National Gallery of Victoria is Australia’s oldest and most visited public art gallery. The NGV houses an encyclopaedic art collection and an exciting annual program of temporary exhibitions across two sites: NGV International, located on St Kilda Road in the Melbourne Arts Precinct of Southbank, and the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, located nearby at Fed Square.
The NGV is delighted to welcome participants in the Rotary International Convention to Melbourne and to offer free NGV Collection Highlights tours exclusively for convention delegates and their guests.
Explore some of the highlights of Australian art with an NGV Guide. See not-to-be-missed works from the Australian Collection and the exhibition Melbourne Now, including works by First Nations artists. Hear the stories and ideas behind the works and consider different perspectives on Australian history and culture. This is an ideal introduction to the NGV and Australian art for first time visitors.
